Is your TV up to par?

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP -- The switch to digital TV is on February 17, and to help you find out if your television is ready, TV6 is starting DTV Test Tuesdays.

Every Tuesday until February 17, TV6 will be separating their analog and digital signals for about 30 seconds on every newscast.

Everyone watching will see a screen with a message saying if they're ready for the transition or need to make a change.

WLUC's Chief Engineer Sonny Reschka says it's also a chance to see if you're able to receive other programming after the deadline.

"Some people might have one TV at home that is ready and another one upstairs that receives our signal over anteanna; this will give people the opportunity to check all of their TVs," said Reschka.
