LSSU has come out with its annual list of words that need to be banished.
SAULT STE. MARIE -- Lake Superior State has come out with its annual list of words that need to be banished from our language, at least for a few years.
Topping the list this year is "green" as in "going green" or "building green".
There's also "carbon footprint," "maverick," and "first dude" from the presidential campaign, and of course, from the nation's financial collapse, we have "bailout" and the combination of "Wall Street/Main S,treet".
Nominations come from people all over the country. A committee at LSSU makes the final selections.

- <3 (Emoticon for 'heart' used in text messages and e-mail.)
