It may be winter, but the Farmer's Market in Marquette has no seasonal boundaries.
MARQUETTE -- A weekend at the Farmer's Market is traditionally a summer activity, but in Marquette, the market is still going strong.
The season typically runs from May until December. During the summer months, the market is held outside, although now it is located inside the Marquette Commons.
Fresh produce, artwork, and bath oils can be found among many other goodies, which make it a great place to find the perfect gift.
Vendors enjoy the opportunity for a long season and the many different items that can be found.
"I like the environment here," says vendor Rosa Musket. "Farmer's markets always feel very authentic and genuine, and it's another place where people can shop locally."
On December 20, the market will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., and it's the last day of the season.
