IRON MOUNTAIN -- Goodwill of Iron Mountain is doing its part to help local Girl Scouts this holiday season.

From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on December 6, the store will be holding its first ever "Sack it to 'em with Goodwill" and donating one percent of its sales to Norway Troop 5326.

Organizers say there will be great deals for shoppers, and the Girl Scouts will be on hand to help out.

"So they'll work right along beside us and their leaders as well to help the customers carry their packages out to their cars," said Store Supervisor Melissa LePage.  "You can give them a tip as well, as well as the money from Goodwill."

The money raised will go toward paying for the troop's yearly activities.

Officials urge any other troops interested in the program to contact Goodwill Industries of Iron Mountain.
