"Music for the Season" concert

MARQUETTE -- The sound of Christmas was in the air today as students from NMU performed their "Music for the Season" concert.

The performers were part of the University Choir and Madrigal Singers.  Some selections were accompanied by viola, violin, cello, and piano.  The goal was to get people in the Christmas spirit with a different twist.

"In a way it kind of is more of like a religious thing, kind of what Christmas is all about," stated Elizabeth Stahl, choir member.  "Hoping to jazz that up a little bit."

The concert is held each year during the holiday season and always features new songs.
