MENOMINEE COUNTY -- Authorities continue to investigate a fatal car crash that occurred Thursday night in Menominee County.

Officials say 16-year-old Courtney Cole, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the car, 18-year-old William Cooper, was driving south on Walnut Road when he apparently lost control of the vehicle.  Officials say the car ran off the road and struck a tree.

Cooper was airlifted to Green Bay for his injuries.  His condition has not been released.

Neither Cole nor Cooper were wearing seatbelts, according to officials.
