MARQUETTE -- Elementary students in Marquette also had a chance to vote on November 4.

Kindergarten through fourth grade students voted for their favorite children's book in an "Elect to Read" program.

Father Marquette Elementary School let students go to the polls to get them more involved in what they're reading in the classroom.

Students loved being a part of the process.

"When we vote for the books, it does make it fair!" said third grader Ashlyn Steer.

Students will learn on November 5 which book won the election and have the story read to them by their principal.
