Kenneth Mikolon may be camping in the U.P.
UPPER PENINSULA -- There's still no word on the whereabouts of 39-year-old Kenneth Mikolon, the West Virginia fugitive who may have been spotted in Mass City more than a week ago. But now Mikolon, who's wanted for 18 counts of sexual abuse, has shown up on the Web site for "America's Most Wanted".
There, a letter he wrote is quoted; it says, "This is not a suicide note, it is a letter to say farewell. I am going for a ride and as of yet, do not know where I am headed."
Mikolon, who insisted he was innocent, went on to say, "I was praying and in emotional turmoil when I asked God to give me a sign. To my surprise, I opened my Bible to Ezekiel, Chapter 12:1-16, which talks of Ezekiel packing and going into exile."
That's what authorities think Mikolon has done, possibly here in the U.P.
Before he left, he reportedly purchased a tent, inflatable sleeping bags, a disposable body stapler to close up wounds, a holographic weapon sight, first aid kits, and a body hammock.
He's known to be a skilled outdoorsman and camper.
Authorities say he was last known to be driving a 2007 dark green Ford F150 pickup with West Virginia license plate WL13787.
Mikolon is believed to be armed and dangerous
