NEGAUNEE -- Irontown lit up for the holidays Sunday. Breitung Park was full of Christmas cheer as Santa Claus came to town.

The Negaunee Irontown Association organizes the event every year.

The crowds sang Christmas Carols as they welcomed the parade with the Negaunee Fire Department.

Santa helped Jillian Skewis, 10, light the tree. She attends Lakeview Elementary and is this year's Pioneer Princess.

"I was kind of nervous, but I was kind of excited at the same time because I've never gotten to do this before, and it's a great opportunity to do," said Skewis.

After the tree lighting, Santa stuck around to hear what kids wanted for Christmas.
