Democrat Scott Dianda beat incumbent Republican Matt Huuki in the race for the 110th State House District

Democrat Scott Dianda has defeated incumbent Republican Matt Huuki in the race to represent the 110th Michigan State House District. With 88 of 88 precincts reporting, Dianda received 51.4 percent of the vote compared to 48.6 percent for Huuki.

Huuki, a resident of Atlantic Mine, was elected to the State House in November 2010. Dianda currently lives in Calumet.

The 110th District encompasses all of Baraga, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties as well as a portion of Marquette County.
