RALPH -- Residents in the Dickinson County community of Ralph will have two weeks before they're forced to say goodbye to their over-century-old post office.

The tiny 12 foot by 14 foot post office was established in 1904 and currently is open only two-and-a-half hours a day during the week and an hour-and-a-half on Saturdays.

The Cootware family, who's been running it for the past 25 years, says the little financial compensation isn't enough for them to continue keeping it open.

"I'm going to miss seeing the people," says Ralph Post Office manager, Cheryl Cootware. "I see everybody everyday of the week. This is where you find out what's going on in town."

Residents who don't want to use a mailbox can drop off and pick up their mail in a cluster box that will be placed outside the Ralph Town Hall building. Anyone sending packages will have to bring them to the Felch Post Office.

The Ralph Post Office's last day will be November 30.
