ISHPEMING -- Police have made an arrest following an apartment fire in Ishpeming. Glenn Scott Patron, 48, is charged with allowing minors to consume alcohol in his apartment.
The fire broke out at 1 a.m. Tuesday. Ishpeming Police say Patron was drinking with two other people in his apartment, who were under the age of 21, when the fire started. Patron and two other residents of the Canda Manor apartment building were taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Patron was arraigned Wednesday. Allowing minors to consume alcohol is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. A pretrial conference is scheduled for August 28.
