KINGSFORD -- Officers from the Kingsford Public Safety responded to a fire at Grede Foundries on Carpenter Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to the scene shortly after 4 p.m. and quickly discovered the fire was contained to a small office located inside the building. The fire was quickly put out. One of Grede's employees had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
