MARQUETTE -- More than 3,000 kids and their families flooded the Superior Dome in Marquette Saturday for the third annual Pump up the Dome Inflatable Game Day. It's a day of free family-friendly fun.

Kids had their choice of about 40 inflatable games and activities. There was a sandbox for the little ones, or kids could visit the bungie jump or mechanical bull. The day is organized by NMU Rec Sports and operated by mainly student volunteers. The event attracted people from all across the UP.

"Yeah, we enjoyed it. I have my grandkids here. We enjoyed it a whole bunch. We're going back to ride some more rides," said Peter Ellis.

Wildcat Willy made an appearance for the kids. Pump up the Dome also featured a performance by the NMU Dance Team and Golden Glitz.
