MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- The madness of Black Friday got underway in Marquette Township Thursday night.

The scene outside Target in Marquette Township at 9 p.m. Thursday evening was one of shoppers waiting in line, ready to enter the store when the doors opened.

Security at Target said the line in at the Marquette Township was the longest in their district which includes the state of Wisconsin.

Some folks celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday in line as some people started to wait at 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

It was the earliest opening time for Target and several other national retailers.

With 147 million shoppers expected across the nation, Black Thursday, or Friday, is the "Super Bowl" of retail.
