ISHPEMING -- Police have released the names of the people involved in a three vehicle crash in Ishpeming on Thursday.

According to the Ishpeming Police, a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Samantha Yelland failed to stop at a red light and collided with a Chevrolet Cavalier at the intersection of US-41 and Lakeshore at around 2:35 p.m. on Thursday. The driver of the Cavalier was identified as 17-year-old Austin Rivard of Ishpeming.

A third vehicle, driven by 56-year-old Valerie Arpainen, was struck by the Cavalier after it had been pushed out of control, according to police.

Two of the three vehicles were towed from the scene, and two people injured in the crash sought treatment at Bell Memorial. They were treated and released from the hospital.
