MARQUETTE -- Usually when people go snowshoeing, it means walking and enjoying the scenery. But who says you can't enjoy your surroundings while moving at a much faster pace?

Snowshoers had the opportunity to enjoy a 10K snowshoe race on the Forestville Trail in Marquette. It was all a part of the Noquemanon Ski Marathon.

Before the race, many of the snowshoers chose to warm up and walked around the open trail. Once it was time to start, around 20 racers took off and headed down the trail.
