Up to 600 customers of the Alger-Delta Co-op lost power since Thursday's storm, but that number has been reduced to about 65
GLADSTONE -- About 65 customers of the Alger-Delta Power Cooperative remain without power as of Saturday morning. These customers are scattered throughout southern Marquette and Alger Counties, along with parts of Delta County.
Co-op manager Tom Harrell said they hope to have all power restored sometime on Saturday. He said crews have been working diligently through difficult conditions to ensure that all customers get their power restored.
All of the company's available crews are working to restore electrical service as quickly and safely as possible, and they have brought in extra crews for assistance. Harrell said he is proud of the work the crews have put in so far.
Harrell said due to the large amount of customers affected, and the amount of damage, restoration efforts are slow. Close to 600 co-op customers have reported outages since Thursday's snowstorm.
Statewide, the winter storm knocked out power to 142,000 customers.
