CRYSTAL FALLS -- A 34-year-old man, charged with embezzling from the Village of Alpha where he worked as a clerk, appeared in Iron County District Court Monday morning.

Nicholas Rickman faces three felony counts of forgery, three felony counts of uttering and publishing, one felony count of embezzlement by a public official-over $50, and one felony count of public officer-embezzlement or diversion of taxes or public moneys.

Last week he pled not guilty to all charges.  If convicted on all counts, he could spend a maximum of 99 years in prison.

Rickman is scheduled for trial at the end of February.
