BARAGA -- A Baraga man remains hospitalized after an alleged assault last week.

Sources say the incident happened in a parking lot located on Superior Avenue in Baraga.

The victim, Scott Dompier, was severely beaten. Upper Michigan's Source has confirmed that Dompier is listed as a patient at Marquette General Hospital and was last listed in serious condition.

The Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Tribal Police and Tribal Attorney have not returned our calls about this incident.

There has been no official word if a suspect is in custody.

The Baraga Village Police confirm that they responded to the scene of the alleged assault the morning of January 27. The Michigan State Police Post in Calumet say they were also called out to assist in the complaint.
