MARQUETTE -- The US Coast Guard's icebreaking vessel, Biscayne Bay, is docked at Marquette's Lower Harbor.

The boat came out of St. Ignace to break the ice near Presque Isle, but Thursday's warm temperatures and Friday's wind caused the ice to break up on its own.

Biscayne Bay is headed to Duluth, but the Coast Guard says right now the weather is too rough to cross Lake Superior so they have to wait.  This is the second time in the past four months the boat has stopped at the harbor.
