NEGAUNEE -- A four car crash in Negaunee Monday afternoon sent three people to the hospital.

It happened at the intersection of US-41 and Teal Lake Avenue, just after 1:30 p.m.

According to Negaunee police, 29-year-old Jackie Swanson of Ishpeming was heading west when her mini-van crossed the center turn lane and hit a red Ford SUV head-on.  That vehicle was pushed into a third vehicle, a Ford pickup.

Swanson's mini-van then continued west and hit another mini-van that was waiting to turn in the westbound turn lane.  Swanson and two others were taken to Bell Hospital for their injuries.

Two other passengers also sought treatment for minor injuries.  Police are continuing the investigation.
