Skiers and boarders in search of fresh powder

MARQUETTE -- Marquette Mountain is one of the go-to places for skiers and snowboarders this time of year.

Mountain officials say although the season started off slow, the recent snowstorm was a tremendous help. Many boarders and skiers say they enjoy getting out on the mountain when the conditions are just right.

"It's awesome. I've been doing it since I was 12 years old. I like to go fast. I like to ski on bumps when there are (bumps)," said Sam Byman, skier.

Marquette Mountain says this has been one of the longest snowmaking seasons, and they finally put the snow guns away this past Friday.
