RAPID RIVER -- Members of the Rapid River Relic Riders Club were out enjoying the snowy winter weather that came just in the nick of time for their annual ride.
It's the seventh year for the show and the sixth year for the ride. The plan was to ride to Rapid River, go south to Gladstone and then warm up at the Kipling Bar.
The members also used the event to gather canned goods for St. Vincent de Paul in Gladstone. They collected over $250 in cash and over 450 pounds of food.
"We work on this for months in advance, and I appreciate all the sponsors and people who've donated. This is a beautiful day. It's perfect for the old sleds. Anytime it's 20 degrees or less, they run the best," said Scott Nieuwenkamp, Rapid River Relic Rider.
Officials say the snowmobiles are from the early '60s to the '80s. Saturday, they'll be shown on Main Street at Rapid River.
