FORSYTH TOWNSHIP -- A large group of Ford F-150 Raptors are traveling the Upper Peninsula (UP) this weekend in a "Raptor Run." It's the first-ever "Sno-ball 500."

They started from Bark River on Saturday and ended in Houghton, but decided to stop for lunch at the Up North Lodge in Forsyth Township.

On Sunday they will end their trip in Watersmeet, traveling a total of 500 miles.

The event is a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project and has already raised more than $4,000.

Fifty-eight trucks with more than 100 people from all corners of the country arrived for the road trip.

"At the end of the day, what it boils down to is a bunch of guys want to get together, have some fun, and just drive around in the UP and experience some snow. This area has some great snow up here," said Jason Kanakry, Snoball 500 organizer.

The event will be held again next year.
