IRON MOUNTAIN -- Saturday, residents in Iron Mountain got jiggy with their fishing rods.

Saturday afternoon was the Second Annual Jig It Ice Fishing Tournament in Dickinson County. Registration for the event started at 8 a.m. on Lake Antoine.

Over 400 holes were drilled into the lake, and residents had four hours to catch the biggest fish. The grand prize for the largest fish was $2,500 in cash.

"You don't have to be a professional fisherman to win this tournament. It's a pretty level playing field really because everyone's fishing in the same general area. It makes it fun because you can see what other people are catching during the tournament and kind of get a beat on how the bite is for the day," said Benjamin Wood, tournament coordinator.

The catch of the day didn't just involve adults. Even kids hooked in some of the action.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dickinson-Iron Medical Care Access Coalition and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the area.
