ALGER COUNTY -- Alger county has already seen its share of winter weather, and Tuesday brought even more. Whipping winds that got up to 30 and 40 miles an hours blew snow across the roads in areas along Lake Superior. Intermittent snowfall was wet and heavy. Some residents fear they may never see spring.

"In the wintertime I just, I like the snow," said Alger Co. resident Andrea Renze. "Most of the time in the wintertime I'm at work. It's getting to the point now where I am ready for spring, but I don't know if we're really going to get a spring this year. I'm thinking that we're going to skip over spring and head into a short summer and back into fall."

The snow tapered off later in the afternoon, but the winds keep blowing making visibility low in some areas.
