Church makes clothes for needy children
NORWAY -- An international connection has been made at Grace Methodist Church in Norway.
Members of the church have been busy making dresses for needy children in Mexico. The dresses are being made in preparation for an upcoming mission trip the church takes to Mexico.
“We go to the same place every year," says Gail Robert, trip coordinator. “We stay with a missionary in Texas at night; we travel across the border each day, and we run the eye clinic, and we also run a general medical clinic."
Grace Methodist Church women decided to make an international impact using their sewing skills and a lot of love.
One woman, Joanne, has a goal of making 100 dresses for the children.
“Well, right now I’m at 83,” says Joanne. "I've got 17 to go, and they should be done shortly, and then I can work on some shorts we're also making,” she adds.
There will be a sewing get-together this Saturday, February 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m at Grace Methodist Church in Norway.
