LITTLE LAKE -- Little Lake Chapel near Gwinn put on their annual living nativity Friday. This is the sixth year for the event. Twenty-eight members of the church portray characters from the night Jesus was born in Bethlehem. They hope this can help people remember what Christmas is all about.
"It's a good thing for people to come to teach them about what the true meaning of Christmas is, and that it's about the birth of our savior Jesus Christ," said Ann Taylor, a church member and performer. "It's not about the presents and Santa Claus, all the things that people kind of get confused with Christmas."
The performances are free. They will be performing through the weekend. The performances start at 6 p.m. and run every 30 minutes until 7:30. On Christmas Eve, the Little Lake Chapel will be holding a special candle light service at 6 p.m.
