ISHPEMING -- Kindergartners from Lakeview Elementary School in Negaunee are staying active by bowling at Country Lanes in Ishpeming.

It's part of their February Wellness Month.  The program teaches kids the importance of staying healthy.  Forty-five kids spent two hours bowling for strikes.

"I think anytime you can get kids together having a fun time and also doing something that promotes fitness, I mean, you can't loose with it. The kids are obviously having a great time, and I'm just happy to be apart of it," said teacher Chad Kent.

Students from other classes will continue bowling the rest of this week.
