COPPER CITY -- A 40-year-old Copper City man is behind bars after police said he kicked out the rear passenger window of a patrol car.

Michael David Harri was arraigned in Houghton County District Court on Monday. On Sunday, troopers from the state police post in Calumet responded to a residence in Copper City for a report of a domestic assault.  Harri was arrested.

On his way to the Houghton County Jail, police say he kicked out the rear passenger window of the patrol car and had to be restrained by troopers. Harri is charged with resisting and assaulting a state trooper, malicious destruction of police property and assault and battery against his wife.

The Houghton County Sheriff's Department says Harri was shirtless during his arraignment because he was not compliant.

Bond was set at $10,000 cash. Harri will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on December 17.
