ONTONAGON -- A Ewen man who, according to authorities, pointed a handgun at his wife during a dispute, waived his preliminary hearing in Ontonagon District Court Tuesday.

Sixty-five-year-old Wayne Emory Kilpatrick is charged with felonious assault and domestic violence.

The incident happened two weeks ago. The police investigation resulted in troopers recovering a handgun and other weapons.

The judge said Kilpatrick’s bond is still set at $100,000 on the assault charge and 10 percent of $5,000 on the domestic violence charge.
