SANDS TOWNSHIP -- Riders have a chance to try out the latest Arctic Cat snowmobiles at the Adventure Centre in Sands Township.

On Thursday, the 2014 Arctic Cat Demo Ride Tour made its way to the area. For the next 10 days, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can ride one of 14 new models along a 12-mile trail.

Adventure Centre owner Bob Taylor sais this is a unique opportunity for snowmobile riders.

"This is one of the few opportunities that a consumer has to drive a sled before they actually order, and they get their best deals of the season by ordering ahead of time, and this way they can make an informed choice on what sled they really want," said Taylor.

There is no cost to ride, but there are some rules. Riders must be over 21 and have a valid driver's license, no alcohol is permitted, and they must wear a helmet.

The demo tour wraps up on March 17.
