SKANDIA -- The Michigan State Police reported that the death of 56-year-old Samuel Louis Longtine of Skandia was accidental in nature.

Police discovered Longtine's body near his burned up truck on Wednesday morning. He had been reported missing from his residence the prior evening.

Officials believe Longtine was likely plowing snow on his property when his vehicle caught fire.

The specific cause of death is pending toxicology results, according to the MSP. The police say that the investigation and autopsy have revealed no signs of foul play.
