MARQUETTE -- Tuesday's storm not only closed schools, but even some businesses, giving many a day off to do as they pleased.

So, where did residents head in search of entertainment?

Some spent the day getting strikes at Superior Lanes Bowling Alley, while others took a more active route.

Northern Michigan University’s gym was packed with many using their free time to get in a good workout.

“Gotta get in a daily workout and what better time than a snow day,” said student Nick Bohn.

However, there were residents who decided grabbing a good movie would be the best solution for a snow day.

“On a snow day like this, kids get restless,” explained father Max Wash. “My kids asked me, ‘Can you brave the cold and go get us some video games?’ So that's what we're going to do."
