MARQUETTE -- The ink is still settling on the U.P. 200 shirts and sweatshirts as The Screened Image Graphic and Design team gets to work.

This year's shirt was designed by a local artist with a dog in the center and a musher's sled underneath.

The Screened Image has been making shirts since the very beginning of the U.P. 200. Over the past 20 years, more than 15,000 shirts have been created for the race at the shirt shop.

The Screened Image is located downtown Marquette which is where mushers and their sled dogs will be for the start of the U.P. 200 race.

"Right from the get-go, the people of the sled dog made it a part of their mission to keep things local, and that has just been tremendous for our business at The Screened Image," said Lorrie Hayes, owner of The Screened Image.

Every shirt is hand-crafted, one at a time.
