Friday's snowfall brought more than a foot of snow for parts of Luce County. There will be very little accumulation from lingering lake effect snow for Saturday. By afternoon, counties bordering Lake Superior may pick up another half of an inch or less. Snow should be finished by mid to late afternoon.

Saturday's highs will be seasonable in the low 20s. There should even be some sunshine, especially away from the lake. Lows will be drop only into the single digits across most of the UP. Skies will become mostly cloudy by late at night. Winds will be light, but become stronger out of the south overnight, making it warmer on Sunday. Conditions are looking pretty good for the Noquemanon Ski Marathon in Marquette!

Sunday's highs will be up to around 30. Some spots might even break that 32 degree threshold. Temperatures will remain mild under a south wind as lows only drop into the 20s. There's a chance for some light snow Sunday and Sunday evening, mainly south and east, but it won't be much.

Monday and Tuesday will see highs into the 30s. Some widespread system snow is looking likely for Monday night and Tuesday. Warm temps might even bring some rain into the mix. Temperatures will again take a wintry turn after Tuesday's system. Lake effect snow is likely for Wednesday out of the north.

On a note of interest, check out these recent satellite images of the Great Lakes. They're looking much whiter and colder with the snow. And check out this fun video I made the other day. I decided to have some fun with my last name. :)
