MUNISING -- Day three of the Rodriguez trial in court began with the defense questioning George Carmona, one of the four suspects involved.

Carmona testified that Rodriguez never showed any sign of concern and did not believe he was being forced into anything.

However, later the prosecutor played the very first recorded interview of the ex-Marine with police officers.

On the tape the defendant states the motivation for his involvement was out of fear of one of the other four suspects, Israel Velez. In the recording, the jury listened to Rodriguez inform police that Velez threatened his family.

Friday, Rodriguez is expected to take the stand and testify.
