MARQUETTE -- For some people there's nothing like sitting down with a good book.

If you're looking to get a good bargain on some books, you might want to head to the used book sale going on this weekend at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

The Friends of Peter White Public Library are hosting their semi-annual used book sale, and they'll have books for every category.

All the books are either extra versions of the same book, or books that have been donated. All of the money raised will go to upgrading the library's catalog.

"This is a great opportunity for the community members to come and get some great deals on some best sellers for a great bargain," said Development Director Heather Steltenpohl. "This is bargain shopping at its best."

The pre-sale begins on Thursday at 6 p.m., with an entry fee of $5. The sale continues Friday through Sunday, with free admission. Peter White Public Library officials hope to raise $5,000 through the event.
