Noque needs volunteers

MARQUETTE COUNTY -- The Noquemanon Trail Network is looking for more volunteers for the upcoming race.

The 2013 Noquemanon Ski Marathon is planned for the weekend of January 25 to 27.

Between 500 and 600 volunteers are needed for the entire weekend of events. The trail network reports they have only about half the number of volunteers they need.

Volunteers can choose to help on the ski expo on Friday, the ski races on Saturday, the wild side of the Noque on Sunday, or all three.

"It's a great way to give back to your community," said Race Coordinator Nicole Dewald. "It's a great way to have a great time and see what's going on in the races, and also it helps the racers out, which is our number one priority."
