MARQUETTE -- The City of Marquette is looking for the public's input about a new playground at Presque Isle Park.

The city is holding a public meeting on Wednesday at the Marquette Commons building. Plans have been drawn up for an inclusive playground for children ages two through 12.

With the playground being inclusive, children with disabilities will be able to use it.

"It has been the goal of the Presque Isle Advisory Committee to do an upgrade out there. I think they've identified it as a place where people like to go, they want to be able to have an environment that's conducive to anyone being involved in being active," said Karl Zueger of Parks and Recreation.

The plans include improvements to parking, seating and fencing. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
