There's not a lot of snow in this forecast, but we may see a little Saturday night and more on Thursday.
For Saturday in the daytime, there should be plenty of sunshine. For anyone heading to the Tahquamenon Country Sled Dog Race, you may want to bring sunglasses to protect your eyes from the glare off the snow. Highs will be around 30 with a light southerly breeze, unlike Friday's gusty conditions.
More clouds move in Saturday evening with a low pressure system. Some light snow showers are likely for much of the UP. Lows will be in the 10s to low 20s. Snow should transition into mainly lake effect for Sunday morning.
Sunday won't see much snow. It should be done snowing near Lake Superior by mid to late afternoon. Highs will be cooler in the 20s under a north wind.
By the evening, skies should be mostly clear. Lows will be seasonably cold in the 0s to low 10s.
A mild, but windy Monday is likely. Monday will be the start of a warming trend. Mid 30s are likely for highs through Thursday, so expect some snow to melt. The week ahead looks to have periodic light snow showers in between some sunnier spots. Thursday should see the most snow in the extended forecast.
