A Marquette man who led police on a foot chase is behind bars facing drug charges
MARQUETTE -- A Marquette man who police say led them on a foot chase is behind bars facing drug charges.
Marquette Police arrested John Robert Okesson on charges of resisting and obstructing and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Police were called to the 800 block of Preserve Drive just after 9 p.m. Thursday night for a report of a man in possession of marijuana.
Police say Okesson struggled with officers and ran into the woods. The Marquette K-9 unit was called in and Okesson eventually surrendered. He was tazered during the struggle. Police say they found six small bags of marijuana.
