IRON MOUNTAIN -- If you decide to stay home and keep it simple this New Year’s Eve, you won't be the only one.

While many of us are getting prepared to go out, the majority choose to celebrate the festivities indoors.

CivicScience, a company that polls consumers on a weekly basis, polled a large sample of Americans this weekend and found:

- 33 percent have no plans

- 38 percent are staying home

- 3 percent will be hosting a party, and

- 14 percent will be attending a party

The poll also found that only 35 percent of Americans will be watching a New Year’s Eve show.
