MARQUETTE -- A safe ride home is the most important part of New Year's Eve planning, but good food is also key to a successful celebration. At Sweet Basil Deli and Catering on Third Street in Marquette, they are preparing several unique trays of hors d'oeuvres.

Antipasto, dessert and sandwich platters are most popular there this time of year. Owner Shelly Morley said her staff will give you suggestions based on the length of a party, the amount of people attending, and the other types of food being served.

"If somebody's serving fish, we have this great mango-strawberry salsa," said Morley. "It pairs really well with fish. We also have people that will come in and order sides from us to make their preparation for dinner much simpler."

If you want to place an order, call (906) 361-3456.
