Woman injured in early morning rollover

TORCH LAKE TOWNSHIP -- A 25-year-old Wisconsin woman was injured in a one vehicle rollover crash on Bootjack Road in Torch Lake Township in Houghton County.

The Houghton County Sheriff's Department said the rollover happened at approximately 1 a.m. Thursday.

The driver was traveling south on Bootjack Road when her vehicle crossed the centerline and veered into the ditch rolling over and coming to rest on its roof.

The driver was entrapped and had to be extracted by the Hubbell Fire Department Jaws of Life.  She was taken to Keweenaw Aspirus Hospital by Mercy Ambulance and was treated for non life threatening injuries.

Other agencies assisting on the scene were the Bootjack Fire and First Responders, Lake Linden Fire and First Responders. 

The crash remains under investigation.
