MARQUETTE -- Some former Marquette Redmen hockey players dusted off the equipment and took to the ice once more Wednesday. The annual Alumni Game at Lakeview Arena pitted two teams of former players against one another all in the name of fundraising. The money raised goes to the current Marquette varsity hockey team to help offset seasonal costs.

"I think it's something that people are looking forward to, we've got a lot of brothers playing out here so it's their chance to play either with each other or against each other so I think it will continue," said MSHS Athletic Director Jamie Tuma. "It's fun for the people to come out and play, it's fun for the people to come out and watch the old players but also raise a little money for the Redmen hockey program."

The game got underway at 6 p.m. Redmen hockey jerseys were also on sale during the game.
