MARQUETTE -- One woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday with injuries resulting from a car/pedestrian accident at the corner of Third and Washington Streets in Marquette.

It happened just before 11 a.m. Seventy-one-year-old Francis Knoodle of Marquette was crossing Washington Street when she was hit by an SUV.  That vehicle was driven by 26-year-old Anthony Garrock also of Marquette.

Garrock was turning onto Washington when he hit Knoodle.  She was taken to Marquette General Hospital; her condition is unknown.

Garrock was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
