IRON MOUNTAIN -- Monday morning, Christopher Bennett was sentenced in Dickinson County Circuit Court for having an illegal marijuana growing operation at his residence in Norway.

The 36 year old was taken into custody back in April when police, serving an unrelated warrant at his residence, found 96 potted marijuana plants.

Bennett plead guilty to one count delivery or manufacture of drugs between five and 45 kilos.

The Norway man was sentenced to four months in jail and two years probation.

Bennett will also be required to pay over $1500 in court costs.
