MARQUETTE -- Youngsters at Father Marquette Elementary School are presenting the story of Christmas to their school and families.

Wednesday morning, Jessica Aho's pre-kindergarten class performed a nativity play. Other pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes are also taking the stage throughout the week.

The show includes narration, costumes and traditional Christmas carols.

"They really get to learn about the nativity story, it helps them learn about it in a fun and exciting way," said Aho. "They love the costumes, they love dressing up as Mary and Joseph and the shepherds and the angels and playing the parts of the characters from the real story."

Aho said her class prepared for the performance over the last two weeks.
